Not A Safe Safe

When I started the makerspace club in school, I did not know what I wanted to build but I knew I wanted to build something out of the box. I wanted to do something that encompassed use of digital fabrication tools, hand tools and power tools. I decided to make the “Not a safe safe,” which was essentially a wooden box with an arduino controlled lock. It is a safe, albeit not a very safe one as it is constructed out of wood and can be taken apart from the outside. This was done by design to play into the name. It features an LCD screen, keypad, 3D printed latch for the servo controlled lock and laser engraved artwork on the sides. This was a fun project to build and it also helped me with my coding knowledge as well.
